Stargazer and Moon Chaser

So these are the birthday presents I made for and . I actually gave these to them like over a month ago, and made them like a month before that. I just finally got around to uploading this.

If their icons didn't make it evident, these are their OC ponies. I got the mane six figures for Christmas, plus six other random ponies. These were originally the two random pegasi. I spent about... four hours, I think, painting both of them. Painting isn't really my specialty. So have mercy.

Stargazer was way ridiculously harder than Moon Chaser but somehow turned out way better. I HAVE NO IDEA HOW I MADE THAT FRICKIN CUTIE MARK SO GOOD. I thought it was going to be terrible. They were originally gonna have one on each flank, but the first one on Stargazer was so good that I was scared to try it again and just painted over Moon Chaser's other one. But Moon Chaser looked really really bad at first. I mostly painted over her, so she's not as bad, but she's still pretty bad. Blah.

Also, as you may have noticed, I was lucky enough that one of the pegasi had Moon Chaser's eye color. I was not so lucky with Stargazer. I had to use a toothpick to recolor his eyes, and they still turned out splotchy. Oh well. It was better than I'd expected, anyway.

Well, anyway, this is how they turned out. I'm not too happy with them, but I was more scared of making them worse if I kept painting. YOU TWO BETTER LIKE THEM THOUGH.

And I guess that's all.

...why does Moon Chaser have bedroom eyes? Especially in the bottom picture? Am I just crazy? Like, Stargazer's all looking over her head at something shiny, and Moon Chaser's all like, yeah. Am I the only one seeing this?
